Kiwi là loài chim rất lạ của New Zealand: không bay được và có lỗ mũi ở đầu mỏ!
📖 Bài đọc
The kiwi is a small bird from New Zealand. It does not live anywhere else in the world.
A kiwi is about as big as a chicken, but it cannot fly. It has very small wings, and you cannot see them under its feathers. Its feathers are brown and soft. They look like hair! A kiwi has no tail.
The kiwi has a long beak. Its nose holes are at the end of its beak. No other bird has nose holes there. A kiwi pushes its beak into the ground and smells worms and insects.
Most kiwis sleep in the day and look for food at night.
A kiwi egg is very, very big for a small bird.
Today there are not many kiwis. Some animals, like cats and stoats, eat young kiwis. People in New Zealand work hard to protect them.
The kiwi is a symbol of New Zealand. People from New Zealand often call themselves “Kiwis”.
